Directions to Lucy Stone Hall

Rutgers & Piscataway | Blairstown |Cranford | Kendall Park| Princeton

Here are instructions for finding B-103 Lucy Stone Hall, after you have reached the Livingston Campus. In case you want to use Yahoo Maps or Mapquest, the building address is 54 Joyce Kilmer Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854-8045. Maps are also available at http://maps.rutgers.edu.

  • Park in one of the metered spaces next to the Livingston Campus Bookstore on Joyce Kilmer Avenue, a one-storey building in brown siding. If those spaces are filled, park in the large lot across the street. If you park across the street, you will later need to come back outside with a hangtag. Without a hangtag you may get a ticket.

  • Walking between the Bookstore and the North-Tower highrise dormitory, follow the driveway to the A wing of Lucy Stone Hall.

  • Walk through the open area on the first floor, bearing to the left.

  • As you turn the corner to the left, you will see the B wing of Lucy Stone, which is not attached to the A wing on the ground floor. You will see two glass doors leading into the B wing.

  • Go through the doors and walk down the hall until you reach B-103 on the left. If the first door into B-103 is locked, turn right, then make a left and another left. That will bring you to the second door into B-103, which should be unlocked.

We start sitting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings. We end around 8:30. Monday and Friday evenings are better for beginners. They include two 25-minute periods of seated meditation with a 15-minute period of walking meditation in between. On Thursday evenings, there are three 25-minute periods of seated meditation with 5-minute breaks in between (no walking). Our Saturday morning sits take place at the same location. The morning’s activities begin at 7:00 a.m. However, people can arrive later if they choose. Those wishing to hear the talk can arrive at 11:00. Those who would like to do two periods of meditation before the talk can arrive at 9:30. We have cushions. All events are free.
